Fresh, Bold, and Local: The Gild's Texas-Inspired Collection

Fenway Capital sought to transform their space into a modern and dynamic reflection of Texas, moving beyond traditional representations to something fresh and unexpected.

The collection features a mix of bold statement pieces and locally inspired works, carefully curated to complement the open layout. By incorporating large-scale artwork and prioritizing strategic placement, the design enhances the flow of the space while adding depth, character, and a sense of place.

The art installation was the finishing touch to a major building renovation project. The property, "The Gild," features modern office space and amenities such as a fitness center and game room. In this dynamic workplace, thoughtfully curated art finalized the shaping of an inspiring and engaging environment.

From Maddie, the Art Advisor

"Partnering with Fenway Capital was an exciting and rewarding experience. Their vision for the project was to showcase a fresh, modern, and unexpected representation of Texas. The final collection is a bold fusion of contemporary, dynamic, and even playful styles—each piece carefully chosen to elevate the space while staying true to its unique character.

Gina Tecca, Fenway Capital’s in-house architectural designer, was a fantastic collaborator. As an artist herself, she even contributed a few murals to the space, further embedding creativity into the project. She and the client embraced daring selections, including I've Got to Go Dancing by Jamie Donahue—a vibrant collage piece inspired by retro cartoons. This piece found perfect harmony alongside Old School Salsa by local artist George Rosaly, another nostalgic, energetic work.

With the space’s large, open layout, we prioritized using art to subtly define key areas. Instead of filling the walls with numerous small pieces, we opted for fewer large-scale works, strategically placed to create impact and cohesion. This project beautifully demonstrates the power of intentional design—proving that, sometimes, less is more."

From Gina Tecca, Architectural Designer at Fenway Capital

"We envisioned a space that felt fresh, modern, and uniquely connected to our location. Maddie brought this vision to life, thoughtfully curating each piece to foster energy and cohesion.

Situated in a prime location in Dallas and equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, The Gild offers the ultimate live-work-play environment. We wanted art that would enhance this uniquely dynamic space and deepen the sense of place and belonging.

One of the most exciting aspects of working with TurningArt was the incredible access to local artists. Of the 30 pieces in our final collection, the majority are by Texas-based artists, ensuring an authentic connection to our surroundings.

TurningArt helped us achieve our goal of capturing an unexpected and inspired representation of Texas. Whether through style, influence, or direct depiction, each artwork reflects and celebrates the region. The installation was seamless, completed in just one afternoon, and the final collection is a vibrant, modern showcase of local creativity. Seeing it all come together has been an incredibly rewarding experience—we couldn’t be more thrilled with the result."
