At TurningArt our mission is to create a future where art is an enriching and expected part of our daily lives. To help achieve this goal we strive to connect local artists and their communities by offering events that give employees and tenants the ability to interact with artists. Recently, TurningArt hosted a live painting event at the Silverline Center in VA designed to promote tenant well-being and bring people together in order to strengthen a sense of community throughout the building.
From Erin, the Art Advisor
“The commercial real estate operator we worked with wanted a dynamic artwork event that would entice people into the lobby and change over the course of the event. We settled on a live painting event because it would be a unique experience that could liven up the event but it didn’t need to be the center of attention. This event allowed tenants to enter and exit the space and interact with the artwork at their leisure fostering a casual atmosphere that promoted socialization. Attending the event myself, it was such a joy to see people circle in out and to check up on the development of the two original pieces being created.”
From Sophie Barral, the Client Experience Manager:
“When I was first introduced to TurningArt, I quickly realized that our priorities were directly aligned regarding ideas around improving tenant well-being. TurningArt’s live painting offering was the perfect unexpected addition to our events designed to engage tenants, promote creativity, and spark togetherness. Working with Erin, we found two artists local to the DC area who created two completely different original pieces of art as the evening progressed. There was an energizing buzz in the lobby throughout the event with the artwork providing an enticing and unique backdrop. We wanted to make sure that there was a draw for tenants to come in and engage with each other and TurningArt helped us achieve this goal by seamlessly creating an exciting experience for our tenants.”
