For Nonantum Capital Partners, a rotating art collection has always been the draw. TurningArt has worked closely with Nonantum since 2020, rotating artwork yearly to keep the office feeling fresh and personal. When the team upsized in February, they wanted to incorporate favorite pieces from their old office while embracing new selections for the additional wall space. The result is a collection that incorporates the personal taste of everyone in the office and reflects the team’s location in Boston.
From Niamh Carty, the Art Advisor at TurningArt:
"The Nonantum team has always been an art champion! They recently moved offices, so this rotation involved both installing pieces they already had and adding new artwork to outfit their expanded space.
In the first installation phase, we transferred the artwork from their old office to the new one, so the walls didn't stay bare for long. I was on-site for this process, and it was great to collaborate with the client and the installers to confirm the perfect placements for each existing piece. This transition was special, as it was great to know there would be familiar artwork waiting for the team when they entered the new space.
As for the new office, the long wall above the shared desks was the trickiest part to curate. Nonantum wanted to incorporate Boston scenes into the shared spaces, so I selected three sets of two complementary works. That was the hard part: finding representational pieces that felt unified yet distinct. I arranged them into pairs to make the wall feel visually balanced, and I love how they turned out!
I really enjoyed working not only with the office coordinators, Hannah Goldstein and Kayla Richardson, but with the entire team at Nonantum. Each employee with a private office can choose what kind of piece they'd like, and everyone else reached out with ideas for what they wanted to see in the gallery. I loved incorporating everyone's creative input, especially requests tied to where someone grew up or a favorite vacation spot. Some specific asks included Vermont, Maine, New Orleans, Kansas City, golf, Seoul, Boston sports, Ireland, Spain, and industrial scenes — all over the map! Even though the subjects are broad, the office still feels cohesive; nothing feels out of place.
The team at Nonantum was such a pleasure to work with — I loved seeing everyone's reactions to their selected piece being hung in their office. I visited both the old and new offices several times throughout the process, and it was really gratifying to see the finished collection come together after so much time and planning.”
From Hannah Goldstein, Office Coordinator at Nonantum Capital Partners:
"Nonantum has worked with TurningArt for six years, and we look forward to the rotational program every year! That's a huge draw for us, as it shapes one of our special office traditions. Each employee with a private office gets to select a piece for their space, and the yearly rotation lets us swap or add new pieces as new hires join the team.
As with our past rotations, we prioritize Boston-inspired artwork for shared spaces. Niamh and TurningArt are great collaborators and truly value incorporating our team throughout the process. At the same time, we fully trust them as the resident 'art experts,' as they are always able to transform our vision into a beautiful, meaningful collection. Our employees also love being personally involved and feel more directly connected to the office environment as a result.
Additionally, while moving offices, we had a sign with our logo from the old office that we wanted to incorporate into the new space. Niamh took the initiative to procure a custom shelf for the sign from TurningArt’s installation partner. We really appreciate this thoughtful attention to detail and genuine collaboration, and are thrilled with the finished collection.” .jpg?width=750&height=500&name=Final_Nonantum_%235%20(1).jpg)
