This new life sciences research facility provided a unique opportunity to redesign the workspace as a tribute to Boston’s diverse neighborhoods.
TurningArt curated 21 murals across several floors, with each floor featuring two murals inspired by a specific neighborhood. Six local artists were involved, and the team worked under a tight timeline to ensure the building met the environmental standards required for LEED Gold certification.
The result is a vibrant, creative workspace that connects employees and visitors to Boston’s culture, fostering inspiration through local art.
From Helen, the Art Advisor
The challenge of collaborating with six talented artists and creating 21 murals within a short time frame pushed us to be both efficient and innovative. The final result is a series of spaces that highlight Boston’s unique charm and spark creativity. It was a privilege to be part of such a community-centered project."
"Our vision was to make the new facility a reflection of Boston’s vibrant and diverse neighborhoods, especially as we expanded our workforce. TurningArt’s expertise helped us curate murals that not only capture the character of each neighborhood but also elevate the atmosphere of the entire building.
Collaborating with local artists was a key part of the process, and the murals have transformed each floor into an energetic and dynamic space. TurningArt’s ability to navigate the schedule and environmental standards made them invaluable partners in bringing our vision to life."
